AIBE VII exam 2014 | to be held on July 27

As per the notification the All India Bar Examination VII conducted by Bar Council of India is to be held on July 27.
Official website mentions that the council could change the date of examination in case of unfavorable circumstances. The registration process for the exam has begun.



The AIBE exam is to evaluate candidate's basic knowledge about law and the abilities to permit them to practice as lawyers in India.

The question paper consists of 100 multiple choice questions inferred from a total of 20 subjects and It is an open book examination. This means that the candidates can carry any reading materials such as the textbooks and treatises, AIBE Preparatory Materials, and even handwritten notes to the exam. 

If candidates qualifies the exam, would be awarded with a certificate of Law Practice. They are eligible to practice law during the interim period. Candidate who has completed LLB degree needs to enrol with the State Bar Council to be able to practice as a lawyer.

This test would conducted every 6 months and is conducted in 39 cities in 11 languages across India.

Last date for registrations June 25
Last date for payment of challan June 26
Last date for completion of online form June 27
Admit card verification starts on July 5
Last date for correction of admit cards July 10
Final release of admit card July 15
